When a person becomes a legend, his stories become myths. I had heard a myth of pele and his brother during my childhood. Growin up, I never verified if the legend was true. Let me share that unverified story with you.
Pele’s younger brother was also a legendary player like him. He used to play as a goalie. One day he challenged Pele. Pele tried his level best to convince not to compete with him. But he had to surrender to his younger brother’s adamantine. Then Pele was ready to make a penalty shoot out from the center-line (and not from the D-area). The younger brother saved the penalty right in his belly. But alas! the ball penetrated his belly and kissed the goal post.
The credibility of this myth was always under question. But if you have heard this myth, we are all from the same “school”.
